Purpose:
The board meets to discuss, plan, approve, and transact the business of the association
Guest Attendance Procedures:
This Board Meeting is open to all members of Central Florida Realty Investors (CFRI) Association who notify the office manager (administrator@cfri.net) or president (president@cfri.net) of their intent to attend a minimum of 24 hours in advance. The CFRI Board does reserve the right to refuse admittance to an individual(s).
The following is a list of procedures for the Board Meeting:
- As an attendee of this Board Meeting, you are invited to listen and learn more about the association, but you can not participate in any discussion unless you’re listed on the agenda or at the request of the President.
- If you have any item you would like addressed by the Board, first you should contact the Director that oversees the area of your concern to discuss the item. Many times a Director can help you with your request without the need for the full Board to review the item. If the Director is unable to help resolve the item, you can submit a written request to be included on the next Board Agenda to the Association Executive, with a copy to the President. The request must include details on the area of your concern with your proposed resolution and it must be submitted a minimum of seven days before the scheduled meeting.
- If listed on the Agenda, you will be allowed five minutes to present your request.
- If you have any questions for a Board Member during the meeting, please discuss this with them after the meeting has been adjourned or contact them at a later time.
- Executive Sessions, held to discuss ethics complaints and other sensitive issues, are typically held after the regular Board Meeting, but not always. These sessions are not open to members and the minutes of these meetings are confidential. If you are attending a Board Meeting when an Executive Session is scheduled, you will be asked to leave the facility during this time.
- Once approved by the board, the minutes of the board meeting for the previous month will be posted in the library on www.cfri.net. If a member of the Association wants to review additional minutes, they can make an appointment with the Association Executive to review the records in person at the CFRI Educational Center.
